PORT PERRY POWER AND LAKE SCUGOG LUMBER JACKS

 Congratulations to the PeeWee Lake Scugog Lumber Jacks for qualifying to represent Ontario at the Eastern Canadian PeeWee Championships in St Leonard d'Aston, Quebec in August 2010. 

Awesome achievement for you all!!

 Port Perry Lumber Jacks Peewee team invites all fans to the Ontario Provincial Championship on Aug 13-15 at the Port Perry lakefront.  Come watch 10 teams compete for all Ontario championships and come cheer on our LumberJacks.

 Congratulations to the Squirt Port Perry Power on their second place finish at the Eastern Regional Qualifiers on July 18.   The squirts will travel to Toanche on Aug 7 to compete for the Provincial A championships.

The Scugog Hall of Fame committee is calling for nominations for Scugog Coach of the Year.

 

New this year, the award will be presented at the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony in November.  

 

The award is to recognize the many volunteer coaches who offer their time coaching minor sports in Scugog and to recognize them for their dedication to being a role model to our youth.   Players or parents of participants in minor sports may nominate their coach for the 2009/2010 season by submitting a written nomination of 250 words or less describing why their coach should be named coach of the year.

Nominations must be submittted by Sept 30, 2010 to

All volunteer coaches are required to provide a current police check.  Our policy on police checks can be found under the coaches info tab. 

 To ensure safe play for all of our players, batters must supply their own batting helmet and all batting helmets must include a safety face guard.
